Job Description:
A company is looking for a Payment Variance Specialist II to
perform research, analysis, and resolution of payment variances to
improve revenue and cash performance.
Key Responsibilities
Review and resolve credit balances and refund requests
Identify root causes of credit balances and collaborate with
revenue cycle areas to improve efficiency
Analyze payment trends and ensure adherence to contracted fee
schedules
Required Qualifications
BA/BS in accounting, business, finance, or equivalent
experience
5+ years in a healthcare/managed care environment
Intermediary knowledge of physician reimbursement and managed care
claim payment issues
Understanding of electronic medical record/billing systems and fee
schedules
Advanced level proficiency with Excel and financial analysis
related to physician reimbursement
